The Life Skill Workshops programme is based on the current Scouting strategy, Skills for Life. It is focussed on different key strategic areas, helping Scout to grow, become more aware of the surrounding, youth shaped and making a bigger impact in local communities.
Planned Life Skill Workshops play a supportive role for Scout’s proficiency badge syllabus scheme which directly affects the Scout’s growth and knowledge. A proficiency badge is a badge awarded to a Scout for achieving knowledge or skill.
The 39th Colombo Scout Group administration has organized several Life Skill workshops to enhance Scout’s abilities throughout the year 2022. The workshops are conducted by certified professionals and skilled personnel.
39th Colombo Scout group conducted the first Life Skill Workshop for the year 2022 in mid February, inspired by Skills for Life Scout strategy. The Scouts learnt about fundamental in to Computer Programming and Arduino modules where they had hands-on sessions.
The workshop was conducted by Thingerbits one of the giants in the industry.
