A beach cleanup was organized by Senior Scout Arin Corera at Wellawatte Beach on 5th July 2025 and followed up with an awareness session “Dangers of Plastic” by Mr. Surendra Ruban a Better World Framework Badge Examiner in Colombo District. We are grateful and thankful for the Scouts who participated this programme in the morning, the awareness session in the afternoon and Mr Ruben for educating the young Scouts.
This helped the scouts gain an understanding of the hazardous impacts of plastics, and how to reduce these through engaging discussions, informative presentation, and practical examples.
