
39th Colombo Scout Troop camped at pedro campsite almost after a decade theming the camp “Back to Pedro `25”. 30 Scouts along with a number of first time campers and 5 Scouts Leaders participated the Pedro Camp from 15th to 19th March 2025.
On the way Scouts stopped at Labookelie Tea Factory for a tour and a complimentary tea, cake. The Scouts were privileged to know the Patrol system, fireplaces, hikes and a chance for an excursion to Horton Plains. Mr. Anura was pleased to setup a hike in the forest on the 18th of March where Scouts had different sets of challenges after their obstacle course. The Scouts had a grand campfire where they invited the parents to join as a tradition of 39th Colombo.
The troop donated 2 3L Vaccum Airpots to the Pedro National Camp Center for the use of campers and trainers. A handcrafted totem pole was awarded to the best patrol after the camp to measure the quality of the campsite.
A Scout should visit and experience the serene nature of Pedro Campsite and its’ a once in a lifetime chance. All thanks the camp organizers and the Group Advisors, parents, seniors Scouts along with the Camp manager facilitating all the logistics arrangements.
