DESCRIPTION:The Group Advisors and the Scout Instructors organized a food parcel distribution project for the people in-need and having a hard time in the pandemic. The activities were all done online according to health guidelines. The aim was to help 5 families but the organizers were able to help 15 families altogether.

SUMMARY:"Back to `44" 75th Anniversary Campfire
DESCRIPTION:The 39th Colombo Scout group has been contributing to the society by educating\, revealing the scouts true talents and maintaining the standards since 1944.The troop got its’ nickname ‘Junior model scout group in the island’ for the service and the colors the group has shown in the past years.39th Colombo had been the winners of the best scout troops competition in Colombo for several years in 1992 and 1994 and runners up in 1991 and 1993.It was renewed by the troop becoming the runners up in 2012 and the champions in 2016. \nMarking the 75th anniversary of the scout group\, the Patrol Leaders Council (PLC) and the Instructors of the scout group had organized a grand campfire\, themed in the name: ‘Back to 44’. Campfire will showcase scout songs\, skits and yells performed by the scouts. Scouts young and old will gather around one fire and join in the fun. Parents\, well-wishers\, district officials and old scouts will also be invites as it is our 75th anniversary. \nThe campfire will be held on the 24th of August\,2019 at the school premises from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
